Water Boom!!! The word gives us many thoughts about racing cars in water. That’s exactly what it is. However there is a famous water Boom in Indonesia which is a water park. So let’s see what it is about.

The number of water parks has been on the rise ever since their inception in the late 1940’s, with currently more than 1000 in the United States alone. In fact, many would find it virtually impossible to visit the state of Florida without being invited to spend some time at one of these man-made wonders. However, water parks have also been gaining popularity elsewhere. There are now more than 600 water parks distributed throughout the rest of the world, and this number is still growing. The greatest increase is now experienced by countries in the Pacific, where the tropical climate is enough to make anyone want to boogie board into a colossal vat of water to escape the simmering heat.

Waterboom, situated in Lippo Cikarang on the island of Java, is one place that offers this opportunity to the city-weary traveler. Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, an amusement park in north Jakarta, Indonesia, is one of the most attractive places serving the densely populated city of Jakarta. It has all the adventures people crave for; Sea World, Fantasy World, Atlantis Water Adventure and Marina Beach. This is Jakarta's largest and most popular recreation park. This colorful open-air market located in the Ancol Amusement Park provides the unique experience of not only buying quality Indonesian arts and craft, but also a chance to see and meet the artisans at work. We can watch puppet makers, wood-carvers, painters, and many other craft makers from throughout the archipelago cheerfully working on their creations. At this art and handicraft market, visitors get to watch Indonesian artists creating their masterpieces. Hundreds of artists from all over the country congregate here to exhibit their work, making the spot a fascinating place for tourists and art connoisseurs. We can even get a portrait of our self-done. Both traditional and modern art and crafts are on display, including paintings, sculptures, traditional Indonesian wayang kulit (leather puppets), gemstone jewelry and many other artistic products. Art performances are frequently held at the Art Market (Pasar Seni) inside the Jaya Ancol Dreamland on Jakarta's beach. They normally range from wayang kulit shadow plays to folk dances and modern drama. This location is open Monday to Saturday, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Ponorogo - Dalam rangka memeriahkan Grebeg Suro 2009 dan Festival Reyog Nasional XVI, panitia telah menyiapkan serangkaian acara dan hiburan kepada masyarakat Ponorogo sekitarnya. Acara utama berada di panggung utama Alon-alon POnorogo yaitu Festival Reyog Nasional XVI, tapi jangan hentikan langkah anda untuk menikmati pameran menarik yang lain. BIla anda salah satu penikmat dunia lukisan, silakan kunjungi stand pameran di Gedung Sasana Praja Lantai 1.
Saat ini kurang lebih ada sekitar 100 koleksi lukisan dari Seniman Ponorogo dan sekitar. Dalam pameran tersebut, sebagian lukisan menggambarkan tentang keadaan bangsa Indonesia saat ini. Misalnya lukisan karya Andry D-Blenk yang berjudul Koma, lukisan menggambarkan alur korupsi di negara Indonesia. Bahkan anda dapat menemui lukisan yang di dalam kanvas terdapat sebuah sandal japit bergambarkan bendera salah satu negara dan di bawahnya ada sebuah bulu Merak. Sebuah harapan dari sang pelukis, tidak akan ada lagi kebudayaan suatu daerah di klaim oleh daerah lain. Di lokasi ini anda juga dapat jumpai souvenir khas, Kuliner Gethuk Golan dan hasil UKM Ponorogo.
